A quiet FRIDAY morning in the FCC database included only one new deal, a sale by a SALEM affiliate to another SALEM entity, and a handful of STA filings.
One SALEM affiliate, EAST BAY BROADCASTING, LLC is selling KTRB-A (860 AM THE ANSWER)/SAN FRANCISCO to another SALEM-associated entity, NEW INSPIRATION BROADCASTING COMPANY, INC. for $5.125 million, the same price by which the seller acquired the station in 2016. The buying entity has been programming the station since 2016; ED ATSINGER and STUART EPPERSON are LLC members of the seller and principals of the buyer.
MARTIN BROADCASTING, INC. has applied for an STA to operate KZZB-A/BEAUMONT, TX at variance with its licensed parameters in order to return the station to the air. The applicant says that damage from Hurricane Harvey made operation at the licensed parameters impossible and an STA is necessary to return the station to the air.
TOM S. WHITEHEAD, INC. has filed for an STA to operate KWHI-A/BRENHAM, TX with a temporary wire antenna and reduced power while its tower is replaced.
TIMOTHY DOMERESE, the administrator of the estate of GEORGE V DOMERESE, has requested a Silent STA for KMTL-A/SHERWOOD, AR due to weather-related damage.
LIGHT OF LIFE MINISTRIES, INC. has applied for a Silent STA for W272BV/PORTLAND, ME due to interference concerns and while it builds on a new frequency.
And EDUCATION THROUGH MEDIA FOUNDATION, INC. has filed for an extension of its Silent STA for WDDT-LP/WINTER GARDEN, FL while it looks for donors to finance completion for a new facility.
Also, a Notice of Unlicensed Operation has been sent to ESTHER BAEZ (99.3 FM, PATERSON, NJ).
