Lakeith Stanfield stars in Boots Riley’s directorial debut, Sorry to Bother You. While working on the film’s score, Tune-Yards linked up with Stanfield to collaborate on a new song. The duo Moors is made up of Stanfield and Hrishikesh Hirway (who also helms the “Song Exploder” podcast). Check out their video for “Mango,” starring Stanfield, below.
Earlier this month, Riley released the 9-track soundtrack to Sorry to Bother You, credited to his long-running Oakland hip-hop group, the Coup. It features appearances from Stanfield (on first single “OYAHYTT”), Tune-Yards, Janelle Monáe, Killer Mike, and others.
